Thelma B. Parsons

"San Miguel de Alende"

"I strive to be a total artist.  To feel the subject and understand it well is the basis for my painting, and to give to others the joy that the artistic world has given to me."

Thelma Parsons was born and raised in the small northern town of Coalville, Utah where the beauty of the mountains and rural life influenced her desire to become an artist.  After moving to the Wasatch Front, she continued her education at the University of Utah where she earned a B.F.A. Degree.  She pursued further studies at the Brigham Young University and the Salt Lake Community College.  She has studied with several prominent local and national artists.
