Diana Sipple


Diana loves to paint in the plein air tradtion.  Her goal as an artist is to share with the veiwer her direct observation of the subject.  Her paintings show a sucessful accounting of this goal.  The beautiful images of artistic expression are an important enhancement to our lives.  Diana Sipple's response to the subject matter and the natural light combine to bring a sense of time and place.  A California native; Diana has been greatly influenced by this region's light.  The powerful brightness of sunlight and the softness of the coastal fog are evident in her work.  She has been represented by the Watercolor Gallery for many years.  Diana has shown in numerous juried exhibitions since the late seventies and has won several awards.  She has studied with Roland Haas, Christine Sullivan, Ning Yeh, Timothy J. Clark, Don O'Neill, Gerald Brommer, Milford Zornes and others.
